LegacyGrid AI · Case Study Protocol

How we evaluate real infrastructure.

Every LGAI case study follows the same four-step protocol: identify verifiable sources, decompose the infrastructure, align against the LGAI framework, and disclose boundaries. No fabricated data, no implied partnerships, no promotional claims.

See the protocol

Four-step evaluation method

Every case study follows this protocol.

The protocol ensures that every published case study is source-backed, structurally consistent, and transparent about what was and was not evaluated.

01

Source Identification

Every case study begins with a publicly verifiable source: a company announcement, regulatory filing, utility document, academic publication, or government record. LGAI does not fabricate scenarios or use unverifiable claims.

Required criteria

Public announcement or filing
Named entity and location
Verifiable date and context
No anonymous or speculative sources
02

Infrastructure Decomposition

The project is decomposed into its infrastructure layers: power and grid, BESS and storage, cooling and water, fiber and connectivity, site and land, community and workforce. Each layer is evaluated against what is publicly known.

Required criteria

Power source and grid relationship
Storage type, capacity, and duration
Cooling method and water use
Community benefit structure
03

LGAI Framework Alignment

Each case study is mapped against the LGAI five-layer framework to identify what the project does well, where gaps exist, and what questions remain unanswered. The analysis is structured, not promotional.

Required criteria

Layer-by-layer alignment assessment
Identified strengths and gaps
Unanswered questions documented
No endorsement or recommendation
04

Boundary and Disclosure

Every case study includes explicit boundaries: what LGAI evaluated, what it did not, what remains unverified, and what the reader should confirm independently. No case study implies a partnership, endorsement, or commercial relationship.

Required criteria

Scope boundary stated
Unverified claims flagged
No implied partnership
Reader verification guidance
